Entry Information
Bring entries on Saturday, September 26 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Sunday, September 27 from
1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Awards:  1^st place: $5 & blue ribbon; 2^nd place: $3 & red ribbon; 3^rd place: $2 & white ribbon

Best of Show Award -   Departments 1, 3, and 4 will be judged together.  There will be one award
for the winning adult entry ($15) and one award for the winning youth entry ($15).  The two award-
winners will be eligible to compete in the State Fair for $500 in the County Fair Booth Display.

Class:
A – ages 18–64		C - Youth Ages 13 - 17*		E – Youth ages 8 & under*
B – ages 65 & up		D – Youth ages 9–12*		F - Professional
*Note:  Classes C, D, & E - See Youth Category Below

• LIMIT - ONE EXHIBIT PER LOT PER EXHIBITOR

• Art accepted at the superintendent’s discretion

• Each entry must be original in concept and execution, not copied from any copyrighted(©)
  source, completed within the last two years and never before entered in the Chowan Co.
  Regional Fair

• Maximum size is 36” x 36” including frame

• All entries must have properly completed entry tag with the name on the tag matching that
  artist creating the entry.   Entry tag must also include medium used. 

• “Professional” refers to anyone who makes a living teaching or making items for sale and
  should enter in Class F.

• Judging will be by qualified judges of the fine arts.  The option is reserved to withhold ribbons
  and awards in lots where there is no deserving entry.

• Entries must be picked up the Sunday immediately following the fair between the hours of
  11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
