BRICK BUILDING CONTEST

Limited Spaces, Sign Up Early

 

All selected participants will receive bricks to build their entries.

There are no instructions other than entry must portray the theme of the 2026 Chowan County Regional Fair, “Celebrating 250 Years of Growing and Harvesting Freedom”. Participants create a MOC - (My Own Creation). Creativity with the bricks is essential.

 

A $25.00 entry fee is required by each selected participant. The entry fee will be reimbursed when participant’s brick entry is delivered for judging.

 

Winners in each age group will receive the following:

The brick sets that they used plus:

1st place in each age group --- Official Lego set

2nd place in each age group --- Official Lego set

3rd place in each age group --- Official Lego set

Appropriate ribbons.

 

Age Groups - 6 thru 9; 10 thru 13; 14 thru 19

 

Registration will begin July 1, 2026 and end September 1, 2026

Brick sets distribution will be September 12, 2026

Brick creations will be delivered to CCRF on September 26 or 27, 2026

Judging of Brick entries will be September 28, 2026

 

CONTEST RULES

 

NOTICE: THE BRICK BUILDING CONTEST IS A SEPARATE EVENT FROM THE NORMAL EXHIBIT ENTRY. ALL ARE ENCOURAGE TO CONTINUE OR BECOME A CCRF EXHIBITOR.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Residents of Northeastern North Carolina between the ages of 6 and 19 years of age on or before September 1, 2026. 

 

COMPETITION AGE GROUPS:

                         6 thru 9 years of age

                        10 thru 13 years of age

                        14 thru 19 years of age

 

The goal is to have 10 contestants in each age group.

 

Registration form must be received by the Chowan County Regional Fair by September 1, 2026.

 

Chowan County Regional Fair (CCRF) will provide each contestant selected a package of bricks to be used for their entry into the contest. Entries must be delivered to the CCRF on either September 12, 2026.

 

Contestant’s entry must reflect the theme of the Chowan County Regional Fair, “Celebrating 250 Years of Growing and Harvesting Freedom”.
