Rules
Limited Spaces, Sign Up Early
All selected participants will receive bricks to build their entries.
There are no instructions other than entry must portray the theme of the 2024 Chowan County Regional Fair, “Tea, Pigs, and Patriots”. Participants create a MOC - (My Own Creation). Creativity with the bricks is essential.
A $25.00 entry fee is required by each selected participant. The entry fee will be reimbursed when participant’s brick entry is delivered for judging.
Winners in each age group will receive the following:
The brick sets that they used plus:
1st place in each age group --- Large official Lego set
2nd place in each age group --- Medium official Lego set
3rd place in each age group --- Small official Lego set
Appropriate ribbons.
Age Groups - 6 thru 9; 10 thru 13; 14 thru 18
Registration will begin July 1, 2024 and end August 25, 2024
Brick sets distribution will be August 30 & 31, 2024
Brick creations will be delivered to CCRF on September 24 or 25, 2024
Judging of Brick entries will be September 26, 2024
CONTEST RULES
NOTICE: THE BRICK BUILDING CONTEST IS A SEPARATE EVENT FROM THE NORMAL EXHIBIT ENTRY. ALL ARE ENCOURAGE TO CONTINUE OR BECOME A CCRF EXHIBITOR.
ELIGIBILITY: Residents of Northeastern North Carolina between the ages of 6 years of age on or before September 24, 2024 and that have not become 19 years of age by September 24, 2024.
COMPETITION AGE GROUPS: 6 thru 9 years of age
10 thru 13 years of age
14 thru 18 years of age
The goal is to have 10 contestants in each age group. On August 25, 2024 the Chowan County Regional Fair Youth Program Committee will determine the contestants selected to compete and then begin notifying those selected. The intent is to have 30 competitive exhibits.
ANY ENTRY NOT SELECTED, THEIR REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE REFUNDED.
Registration form must be received by the Chowan County Regional Fair by August 25, 2024.
Chowan County Regional Fair (CCRF) will provide each contestant selected a package of bricks to be used for their entry into the contest. Entries must be delivered to the CCRF on either September 21 or 22, 2024 between 1 and 6 PM.
Entry fee will be refunded when entry is received.
Contestant’s entry must reflect the theme of the Chowan County Regional Fair, “TEA, PIGS, & PATRIOTS”. The theme recognizes and promotes the 250th anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party.
